Scholarships

Members of New Market SDA Church are eligible for tuition assistance through our educational scholarship program.

If your student plans to attend SVAE, please contact the SVAE office to discuss financial needs and complete the appropriate paperwork. If your child plans to attend SVA, please contact the student accounts office and ask to be considered for an Invest in a Life Scholarship.

We have a NEW college scholarship program!

We are pleased to offer a limited number of college scholarships beginning with the 2025-2026 academic year, thanks to the White Memorial Endowment Fund. The scholarships are available to any member of the New Market SDA Church (NMSDA) or the child of a member; or the child of a family actively attending NMSDA and studying in preparation for membership. This also includes the New Market Spanish church plant. Eligibility is not dependent on having attended an SDA school previously, but scholarships are only payable to SDA institutions of higher learning. There is no form to complete, but the Awards Committee must receive the following items as part of an application for a scholarship.

1. A formal letter written by the applicant to the Awards Committee outlining their educational and career goals, academic achievements or awards, church work or other volunteer work, and other information the applicant may consider pertinent.

2. A letter of reference from a non-family member (pastor, teacher, employer, etc.).

3. The results of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the academic year for which a scholarship is being requested (NOT the application itself). This should include the Student Aid Report (SAR) or at a minimum the Student Aid Index (SAI) number. NOTE: Scholarships are not awarded solely on financial need.

Applicants may submit these items to the NMSDA church office in a sealed envelope and marked to the attention of the White Memorial Awards Committee.
